It's 5:00 a.m. and the sun is nowhere to be seen. But as usual, Eliasy Sanchez is already awake and tackling his day. For Eliasy (pronounced Ellie-ah-see but he often goes by "El"), most days start with a five-mile run followed by his weight lifting regimen at the gym to really get his blood pumping. "Afterwards, I feel completely on top of the world and I'm able to handle just about anything that comes my way," he says. Then again, anyone who knows anything about Eliasy understands that his upbringing prepared him for success long ago.

Instilling a Work Ethic
Born in Guatemala, Eliasy lived on his grandparents' farm from a young age. Farm life brought along with it much responsibility to care for the animals and various crops. From the time he started attending first grade, Eliasy was given a strict set of chores that had to be completed before school each day. There were more chores after school that kept him occupied until sundown.

Although it might not sound like a lifestyle many people are accustomed to, Eliasy excelled in this environment and points to these formative experiences as the foundation of his strong work ethic today. In fact, once he was able to join his mother in the United States at the age of 15, his work ethic far exceeded any of his peers. Case in point - when he joined the U.S. Army after high school, he was so well trained and disciplined, boot camp was a breeze. He thrived in the Army for more than 20 years including tours in Germany, Korea, the Persian Gulf and more before settling at Fort Lewis toward the end of his prestigious career.

"I owe tremendous gratitude and respect to my grandparents," Eliasy says. "Their work ethics and attitude toward life are at the core of who I am today."

An Ongoing Commitment to Service
Just because Eliasy retired from the military in 2004 doesn't mean he stopped working. In fact, he had begun his real estate career four years earlier and his retirement only allowed him to devote himself to becoming a full-time real estate professional. And true to his nature, his commitment and undying work ethic are key to his professional success.

When you work with Eliasy toward the sale or purchase of a home, you're working with a man who takes complete responsibility for his actions and who makes no excuses.
